This should be a simple drag and drop operation similar to navigation within an app. At the very least include an "App ID" record that a developer could populate on their own and use for sort criteria.

I wish I could organise my apps in folders, to group them together based on our own internal organization
For instance, I have a few “backup” apps which I don’t want to see at the top-level, they’re unimportant
Also, we have different “products”, one product being composed of several Stacker apps, and I’d like to group them by product, because it simply makes more sense and avoid being lost.
Having folders within folder would be great as well, to allow things such as:
Product 1
App1
App2
Backups
App1 - 2022-05
App1 - 2022-01
Product 2
App1
Additionally, having the ability to define the order of each folder/app would be great, because they’re currently sorted alphabetically and it’s not ideal for us.

Oli Littlejohn: user recordable folder hierarchy would be great. Imagine if you could also have a single user list to control access to each app and folder in the hierarchy too! Permissions for both Workspace (developer team) users and regular customer/client users with separately controlled access & permission levels including support for multiple roles.

There is a workaround - Since apps are sorted alphabetically, you can add a number in front of each app to force the sort you want. It's a little bit distracting to see the number there, but most users either don't notice it or don't care.

How about just the ability to drag and drop apps in the order in which you prefer inside of the workspace? Similar to the Navigation menu within an App.
